Use of AR and VR In Education

Resim
These words might not be familiar for dinosaurs but not us, Augmented Reality (A.R.) and Virtual Reality (V.R.) are two of the novel technologies in the industry. VR is basically a screen that makes your vision 100% changed and lets you see different types of environments. AR is an augmentation tool with glasses that basically advances your vision by creating flying panels around your eyes just like in a science fiction film.    VR use in education is really beneficial in these lockdown days as it helps students and teachers to be assembled again in a digital class. Students can analyse worlds that they have never seen, for example, a mining Engineer trainee can see Mponeng Gold Mine, Garzweiler Surface Mine or even Hpakant Jade Mine without leaving their houses. VR is an efficient tool in economic factor, students do not always have wealthy parents, so they cannot always go abroad and visit special places, VR helps breaking the boundaries stemming from financial issues this

Educational Experience Theory

It is a theory about aiming at offering teachers and students ideal learning and teaching outcomes. The theory is based around four factors to create meaningful and effective educational environment. The first factor is cognitive presence , it is about students sharing and discussing about inputs of the topics, creating new ideas from them and sharing them between the other students. Another factor is social presence , it is about the social status of the student, what they see themselves as in the class, what do they feel in class time, feel of belonging to the class. The third factor is teaching presence , it is about the roles of a teacher, monitoring, assessing, maintaining suitable conditions for their students. The fourth and the last factor is transactional presence , as the name suggests, it is about transactions between students, their affairs, relationships and interactions.

Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning

Resim
What Is This Theory All About?    This theory aims at the use of three different channels of learning in lessons, which are visual, auditory and verbal inputs because of them being varied helps the students get input from different channels. Including both visual and auditory contents in a lesson will activate two channels of a student at the same time and appealing to two or more channels has been proven beneficial to learning process. These dual channel stimulating contents must be given stably, they should not be a burden to students, which will contradict with the main goal of this theory.    The proccess goes as: Finding words and pictures for the presented topic, adding sounds and more images, finding a way to explain the topic verbally by analysing the other inputs that will be given, adding the prior knowledge into the presentation and then finishing it with last adjustments.
